Sellers Comments - The Sought After 3-Door RS Cosworth In Mint Condition. Here is our outstanding Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, on a 1986 plate. These cars are becoming rare with just 814 left on the road at the end of 2017. We understand that Steve Soper, the touring car ace was the first owner. A thick file with photographs is included with the car This car has had a bare metal respray in Moonstone Blue and there is photographic evidence with the car. A massive history file has been compiled, confirming that the car has been well maintained and cared for. The driving experience is simply mind-blowing. With phenomenal performance, braking, handling and roadholding, this is one supercar. Accompanying this is a fabulous exhaust note with loud hissing from the dump valve on throttle. Paperwork indicates this car had a Stage 1 performance upgrade, giving the car 290 bhp The interior and exterior are in very good original condition and the alloy wheels have been refurbished. The Cosworth also has Recaro seats and the huge rear wing.

Sellers Comments - Here we have offered for Sale my 1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. This has been tastefully modernised and painted in Ford frozen white and has also been fitted with an RS500 replica front bumper and splitter.

The Engine is a Standard 205 cosworth YB with 0.5 oversized Mahle pistons, Multi layer headgasket with ARP studs and ARP conrod bolts. Brand new bosch 403 grey injectors Turbo technics T34.63 turbo with rose jointed support bracket running a safe 28psi peak boost Level 6 engine ECU with live-mapped chip, all of which was done by Norris Motorsport Rolling road dyno printout proving a rolling road print out showing 363 BHP  and over 400 FT LB of torque. Swedish style inlet manifold, 3 inch stainless turbo back exhaust system with 4 inch tail pipe 3 bar map sensor with Cosworth engraved stainless bracket RS500 Forge style intercooler, Larger alloy radiator, MSD wasted spark system with brand new denso ik27 sparkplugs twin ignition amps and brackets etc. MSD cooling fan loom with separate relays and brand new radiator switch Brand new coolant temp sensors and inlet manifold air temp sensor New engine loom with plug for lambda sensor (option to run closed loop) Aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator with pressure gauge Rewired fuel pump loom from relay in dash to pump under spare wheel well Breather system with stainless catch tank Bailey stainless header tank Samco hoses Group A cone air filter Brand new alternator Transmission Standard gearbox with uprated gearbox mount, ARP flywheel bolts and Alcon 6 paddle clutch Recently replaced standard 7.5 inch rear LSD Suspension Fully adjustable AVO coilovers all round. Brakes Standard Braided flexi brake pipes Interior Standard Dashboard is cracked and the drivers side door cards are tatty Cat 1 Cobra alarm/immobiliser. Exterior Mostly standard Brand new calibre vintage 17x8 BBS RS replica alloy wheels with 5mm spacers and good tyres 100k miles lots of receipts MOT till May 2018 Overall the car is in good condition and runs perfect.

The car does have a couple of blemishes and a few imperfections which could easily be rectified.

Slight bubbling around the sunroof

A scratch on the passenger rear 1/4 not very large

Needs a pair of fog light grills or fog lights

Gearbox is whining I have had this looked at by a mechanic and he recommended that it was the lay shaft bearing. the gearbox whines in 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th only 4th gear is quiet as it should be.

Engine bay could do with a little bit of a tidy up

Sellers Comments - • 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3dr in black • 35,000 miles genuine • Long mot & no massive breaks inbetween mot history • 12 owners on v5 really 3 but the second owner changed the logbook numerous times every time he changed his company which is annoying, but never the less it's a 3dr cossie and will rise in value even if it had 50 owners • 3rd in ford fair show a few years ago with certificate • old bills & receipts • Original service book • Clifford alarm • 330bhp on greens • Very well maintained • No rust or rot anywhere serious buyer welcome to put up on a ramp • Ap Brakes all round • Mint compomotive alloys • Interior is what you would expect of a car with 35k no cracks in dash or sun damage which is rare and no extreme seat wear or tear • HPI clear with no mileage discrepancies • Looked at a lot of 3drs before buying this one this car I would not hesitate to get in and drive to Scotland tomorrow 110% reliable • Rs500 front splitter genuine • Tidy chrome engine bay • Good useable car needs nothing, some of the pictures show a cosworth front badge and grey rear lights these have now been put back to standard BAD POINTS Wouldn't say it has bad points but things that I don't consider to be great • Boot lid has been de-locked not a major as they have welded plate from the inside which once removed would be easy to re fit boot lock • Boot carpet has been cut to accept some kind of sound system in the past & parcel shelf wants replacing • Has a small 1cm scratch on drivers wing hardly noticeable
